Challenging times and tight cost controls mean that organisations are looking for creative and effective ways to get the most from executive coaching budgets. In response to this, Kiddy International's Peer Coaching programme delivers significant value to participants by helping them share their development experiences in ways which benefit themselves and their organisation. Through a series of semi-structured peer group coaching sessions we address issues that are key to the development of individuals and their roles. The way it works is as follows:

• The Client Sponsor and Coach meet to discuss the potential target group, how they will be selected, the briefing process and induction. Typically we work with peer groups of 3 participants, as bigger groups inevitably produce scheduling issues and lower levels of trust.

• The Coach then meets individually with each member of the peer group to discuss confidentiality, individual aspirations and expectations.

• The first peer group session normally involves introductions, scene-setting, an explanation of the organisation's intentions, "rules-of-engagement" and trust building activities that build cohesion and allow the subsequent sessions to run more smoothly.

• Thereafter during the next 5 peer group sessions we deal with topics, situations and issues in which each individual can learn from peers about ways of developing their management styles, responses and most importantly their effectiveness. 

• Between sessions participants are required to complete some self-study in preparation for the next peer group session.

• At the final session individual and group learning are consolidated and feedback is shared among the group. As a result of this many participants go on to continue their development in their own informal pairings.
